Nui Ba Din known as Black Virgin Mountain about 6K from our post. I think it was over 3000 feet high.Our battalion operated a rock quary at its base. A Signal unit was at the top with an Infantry unit providing security. "Charlie" own the rest. B52s regularly bombed the area at its base and C130 with its mini guns rack it relentlessly. After the war it was discovered house a network of caves for troops, munitions, and field hospital.
